What's New on the Mall This Summer

The summer of 2022 is in full swing and the Mall has been buzzing! Visitors are enjoying our unique selection of shops, boutiques, restaurants, boutiques, ice cream parlors, sweet shops, galleries, activities, and more. As with every year, some businesses on the Mall do change, and this year is no different. Much of the recent changes have been centered in two areas of the Mall: in the City Centre Mall and on Liberty Way. This blog will explore some of the new businesses that have opened on the Mall, as well as other new things that are sure to improve your experience in the heart of Cape May.

Collar and Bone is a doggie ice cream shop and boutique featuring dog-friendly ice cream sundaes, a treat bar, accessories, supplements, handmade leashes, toys, and so much more! You can find them on the first floor of the City Centre Mall at 421 Washington Street. Dogs themselves are welcome via a dog friendly entrance on Lyle Lane!

Shop Local, located on the second floor of the City Centre Mall at 421 Washington Street, features items created by some of Cape May's finest artists. There is something for everyone including jewelry, art, cups, shirts, and so much more.

Located on Liberty Way at 507 Washington Street, So Soleil features fashion, accessories, and other items for women, teens, and babies that is smart, sophisticated, and sublime.

The Little Fish is a kids boutique! It is a place that you can find fun, trendy, and comfortable clothing for your kids in sizes 6-14. They also carry accessories and shoes for both boys and girls. The boutique's owner, Alex, is a mom of two, Reagan & PJ, who are her main inspiration for starting The Little Fish. Having two children, she knows how important it is to have kids dressed in something that is comfortable and easy to play in but also something that is cute and lets them express themselves. The Little Fish is here to make it easy for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends to find quality clothing for everyday life. Swim on over to 507 Washington Street and down Liberty Way for the perfect gift for the special little fish in your life.

QR Code Signs

We’ve installed new signs in strategic areas of the Mall to help you make the most of your next visit to the Mall and discover some new businesses you may not have known about! The signs are located in high traffic portions of Washington Street, at entrances to the Mall area, and near parking meter kiosks. Signs are also located on the Cape May MAC Information Booth and on the windows and doors of select businesses. Hold your phone’s camera to the QR code and then click the link to be taken directly to our website where you can find a directory of all Mall businesses, visitor information, our brand new map, and more. The signs also invite you to tag us in your photos when enjoying the Mall so we can help others discover the picturesque heart of America’s original seaside resort!

Bicycle Racks

The City of Cape May's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee worked with City administration to install more bicycle racks around the Mall. These new bicycle racks are upside-down U-shaped racks, which professionals recommend as the best bike rack. This is because it provides two stable points of contact to lean a bike on, it is easy to lock and secure a bike on, and you can just install one or several in order to make the most of the space available. They look great as they match the Mall's brand colors and have been heavily used since their installation.

There is so much to explore on the Washington Street Mall! We are always working to stay current and exciting, while also remembering that we are the heart of America's original seaside resort. We invite you to explore our picturesque town square and see why we are one of the region's most popular destinations. We'll see you on the Mall!
